D365 F&O Technical Consultant

Ryse Technologies is hiring a hands-on D365 Finance & Operations Technical Consultant to build, integrate, and support solutions across client engagements. Remote (U.S. only), up to 25% travel.

Why this role exists

Ryse Technologies is seeing a rapid increase in demand for our Dynamics 365 implementation services. We're hiring a D365 F&O Technical Consultant to help us deliver this work at a high bar. We need someone hands-on who can build, extend, and support solutions across client engagements — and grow toward architecture over time.

The ideal candidate

We are seeking to employ a technical consultant with 2–4 years of Microsoft D365 F&O technical experience or several years of related Microsoft-stack software development experience. A moderate amount of technical knowledge and experience implementing solutions in and around Microsoft D365 is expected.

The purpose of this role will be to provide hands-on application development for our clients, resulting in successful D365 Finance and Supply Chain implementation and continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities include

Application Development & Support

• Design and implement reports, customizations, extensions, integrations, and data conversions for D365 Finance and Supply Chain as part of technical teams on projects
• Support implementation teams and end users in the technical aspects of D365 Finance and Supply Chain
• Support other developers with technical issues
• Support clients with production issues, troubleshoot technical problems, and debug code to identify root causes
• Perform code reviews and assist with code promotions
• Address performance issues using tools such as Trace Parser and LCS environment monitoring
• Assist with database archiving and cleanup activities
• Apply D365 service updates, validate compatibility with customizations and third-party solutions, perform code merges, and deploy changes

Intellectual Property Management

• Support the creation of intellectual property (IP) by leveraging or modifying existing IP, or creating repeatable content were applicable

Readiness

• Learn new technologies or services based on business demands and industry trends, and obtain relevant accreditations and certifications as advised by the domain leadership team

Operational Excellence

• Complete operational tasks and readiness activities accurately and on time; follow Microsoft policies, compliance requirements, and procedures
• Lead by example and guide team members on operational tasks, readiness, and compliance

Technical Expertise

Core D365 Finance & Operations Engineering

• X++ development using the latest frameworks in D365 Finance and Operations (SCM)
• Practical experience developing with Visual Studio, .NET frameworks, and C#
• Report development using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience managing D365 environments using Lifecycle Services (LCS)
• Experience with version control systems including TFVC and Git
• Understanding of reporting technologies in D365
• Data integration and publication using Data Entities, Data Management Framework (DMF), OData, and Bring Your Own Database (BYOD)
• Experience with SQL and database querying

Plus Skills

• Power BI reporting, including Power BI embedded in D365
• Power Apps and Power Platform experience, including integrations using Azure Logic Apps
• Experience configuring Regression Suite Automation Tool (RSAT)
• SQL Server database administration, monitoring, and tuning
• Dynamics AX/D365 performance monitoring and tuning
• Knowledge of technically managing third-party ISV solutions
• Experience integrating with EDI solutions
• Experience implementing middleware solutions such as BizTalk Server
• Proficiency with performance analysis tools such as Trace Parser and SQL Server Profiler

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of development in the Microsoft ecosystem within D365 Finance and Supply Chain or AX 2012 R2+ or similar
• Holistic solution design, architecture, data migration, and integration skills
• Track record of participating in the full project lifecycle
• Track record of delivering entire solutions
• Object-Oriented Programming and Design skills
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Desired certification: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate
